Need some extra room to cut out that garment? Or maybe a space without a furry helper? Or maybe you don’t have a sewing machine at home and need to use one? Maybe just somewhere clean and clutter-free. Trust us, we get it. Come work in our sewing space!

We will supply cutting mats, rotary cutters and 6″ X 24″ rulers. We also have ironing stations, pins, scissors, and seam rippers that you can use. Bring your own machine or rent one of ours for an additional $5 per hour.

Sewing Studio time is free if you bring your own machine or $5 per hour if you would like to use one of our Bernette b37s. Sign up for the time of day you want to come in, let us know what time you plan to be here, and stay as long as you like*, pay for the first hour now when you sign up, and we’ll charge you for whatever you use when you’re done!

*we’ll let you know if there’s a class coming in to use the space, in which case we’ll have you pack up an hour beforehand to give them time to setup – keep an eye on the class calendar when you sign up, so you’re not surprised.

Our open studio time is intended to offer you a space to work on your own project. There will be no instruction provided.

FAQ

Q: Why can I only book a month or so ahead?
A: We release our open-studio times a month out, after we’ve finalized our in-person class calendar.

Q: Can I bring my own sewing machine?
A: Absolutely! We have machines here that you’re welcome to use, but if you’d rather use your own that’s just fine.

Q: Will you be able to help me with my project?
A:Not really. We’ll be around running the store while you’re here and can help you if you have issues with our machines or a small question or two, but if you need more hands-on help with you’re sewing we suggest checking out one of ourclasses instead!

Q: Can I bring friends?
A: Yes! Everyone who plans to come anduse a sewing space must register individually so that we can be sure to have enough room (we limit it to 3 people at a time so everyone can have their own table). If you’re looking for a more social sewing experience we also suggest checking out our Just For Fun social sewing events.
